(Per : HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE MR. K.S.RADHAKRISHNAN) Notice returnable on 7th October, 2008.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that they have already initiated effective measures to contain pollution as alleged in the notice/order issued under Section 31-A of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 by the Environment Engineer.

In that view of the matter, it is open for the Officer of the first respondent to conduct fresh inspection of the mill premises of the petitioner and submit a report on the next date.

Direct Service is permitted.
