Shri R.B. Tiwari, Advocate for the petitioner.

                                                                              Pr
Shri Amit Seth, Govt. Advocate for the respondents/State.

a The challenge in the present writ petition is to the show cause notices hy dated 24.11.2017 and 18.12.2017 whereby the petitioner has been called ad upon to show cause alleging that the petitioner is operating its industry without any permission under the Water (Prevention and Control of M Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, of 1981.

The stand of the petitioner is that it had applied for permission on rt 02.01.2018 and till such time permission is granted, the petitioner should be ou allowed to continue its rice mill.

C In fact, the filing of the application for consent under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and h Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, shows that the petitioner was running its ig rice mill without the requisite permissions from the statutory authorities. H Since the petitioner applied only on 02.01.2018 for the consent under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, therefore, some time is required to be given to the statutory authorities to consider the request of the petitioner for grant of consent.

In view thereof, we do not find any merit in the present petition. The same is dismissed.
