Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be allowed to withdraw the petition for the present and in the first instance avail remedies under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 ('Water Act' - for short) and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 ('Air Act' - for short).

It is to be noticed that the petitioners have a remedy of initiating criminal action in accordance with Chapter VII of the Water Act and Chapter VI of the Air Act.

Dismissed as withdrawn at this stage.
