                         UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
                                               O R D E R

Heard learned counsel appearing for the parties.

The central issue in this Suit is about pollution. We find that the States of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have fully set up the State Pollution Signature Not Verified Boards under the provisions of Water (Prevention and Digitally signed by CHARANJEET KAUR Date: 2017.07.07 17:18:24 IST Reason:

Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. The Act casts a duty on the Central Pollution Board established under  2 Section 3 of the said Act “to coordinate the activities of State Boards and resolve disputes among them”.

Having regard to the scope and nature of the dispute, we consider it appropriate to refer the draft issues annexed to the Note which are framed in this Suit, along with the relevant case papers to the Central Pollution Board for formulating its opinion and submit its report to this Court. The Central Pollution shall hear the parties to the Suit and submit a report to this Court within six months from the date the parties appear before it. All the parties to the suit are directed to appear before the Central Pollution Board on 01.08.2017.

List after the report from the Central Pollution Board is recevied.
