Thank you for deciding to participate in this study on people’s reactions to problem-solving tasks. The study takes about 10 minutes. You will receive £1.50 for study participation.
Procedure
You will be asked to solve multiple problem-solving tasks within 5 minutes. Then, you will be asked to report your experience with these and similar tasks.
Personal Information and Confidentiality
By clicking “I agree” at the end of this form, you are agreeing that you have had the time to read and consider this consent form and are comfortable with what is being asked of you as a participant. Aside from your Prolific ID, no identifiable information will be collected during this study. The records of this study will be kept confidential. Efforts will be made to limit the use and disclosure of your personal information to people who have a need to review this information, and the data will be stored on a password-protected computer. If identifiers are removed from your identifiable private information or identifiable samples that are collected during this research, that information or those samples could be used for future research studies or distributed to another investigator for future research studies without your additional informed consent.
Risks and Benefits
During your participation, you may experience risks that should not be any more significant than the risks you experience in your regular daily routine.
You will be paid £1.50 for your participation.
Research Results and Feedback
The University of Cologne will own all of the research data and analysis and results generated from the information you provide and your participation in the research project.
