    Please assume you are an employee of a company who, along with another employee (i.e., participant in this room) will work together for the entire study. Each pairing is assumed to work for a different company.

The next few pages contain more detailed instructions about the task. Please read these instructions carefully because you need to understand them to make the most informed decisions. 
</p>
<p>
Remember that your decisions will affect the amount of compensation you receive for participating in this study. To make sure that you understand these instructions, you will be required to pass several short quizzes before making any actual decisions. 
</p>
<p>
All amounts will be described in terms of Lira, the experimental currency for this study. Your final compensation will be paid in Canadian dollars. The conversion rate of the Liras to dollars is 960 Lira for every dollar. You will be paid based on the total Lira you earn throughout this study, in addition to the 1.0 course credit for your timely arrival today.
