In this study, your choices will determine your payoff, so it is important that you read all instructions carefully.
The study consists of two parts. In the first part, you participate in an experiment in two rounds to start collecting boxes out of 64 available boxes. One round is selected randomly, and you will be paid according to the points earned in the game. The following pages provide a detailed description of the game.
In the second part you will be participating in an experiment in which you are being asked to choose between two options. These options differ in terms of payoff and probability. This part includes 6 independent rounds. At the end of experiment, one round is selected randomly and the payoff of that round will be your final payoff of the second part. Therefore, each round is equally important.
The final payoff of each part is rounded to the nearest whole number. You will be paid $0.01 for each point earned as your final payoff in the first part, and $0.02 for each token of your final profit in the second part.
