Part 3 Information Sharing by Managers

{{ endblock }} {{ block content }}

Before the start of the first period, managers will be provided with 8 pieces of advice that may be helpful to the Part 2 task being performed by employees and 4 pieces of advice that may be helpful to the Part 3 task being performed by managers.

FIRST: Each manager may share up to 4 pieces of advice with the other manager in Business Unit A.

SECOND: Each manager may share up to 4 pieces of advice with the employees in their group.

The manager must pay to share advice and the cost to share advice increases with each piece shared at a given level. Specifically, the first piece of advice shared is costless, the second costs $0.10, the third costs $0.15, and the fourth costs $0.25. Therefore, sharing the maximum of 4 pieces of advice costs $0.50. The cost is the same whether sharing with the other manager or employees, so the first piece of advice to either party is always free. Any information shared with employees will be shared with both employees and count as a single piece of advice shared.

If advice is shared, the receiving party can choose to accept the advice for a cost of $0.05 per piece of advice accepted. If they pay this $0.05, they will be able to view that piece of advice.
