<div class="text">Welcome to our experiment! It is important that you read the following instructions carefully and understand them. You can earn money in this experiment. You will receive £1 for your participation. You can earn additional money during the experiment. The amount of money you earn depends on your decisions and on decisions made by other participants in the experiment. The experiment consists of three main parts and a questionnaire.</div>

<div class="text">In this experiment, you will be matched with another participant on Prolific. To keep the waiting time reasonably low, each screen in this study (including this one) has a time limit displayed on top. In total, the experiment should not take longer than 15 minutes. The time limit for each screen is sufficient for you to read the texts and think carefully about your answers. If you fail to complete any screen within the time limit, your participation will be discontinued and you will not receive any payment. If the participant you are matched with fails to complete his/her screen within the time limit, your participation will be discontinued and you will receive a payment of £1.</div>

<div class="text">To safeguard your privacy, we will not collect any personal information about you. Your data will be referred to by a unique participant number. The anonymous data collected during this study will be used for research purposes and may be shared with other researchers and with the general public.</div>

<div class="text">Your participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw from the study at any time and for any reason. If you withdraw from the study during or after the data gathering stage, we will delete your data and there is no penalty.</div>
