Part 2
Part 2 involves a hypothetical situation. You will not earn any money in this part. Still, please answer as if the experiment was played for real money.
In part 2 of the experiment you will interact with the same opponent as in part 1.
Imagine your opponent has been given £100. He/she has made a proposal for how to split the £100 between the two of you.
Your task is to state the smallest amount you are willing to accept. We will call this amount the minimum acceptable offer.
If your opponent offers you an amount that is larger than or equal to the minimum acceptable offer, then you accept the offer and the £100 will be split as your opponent suggests.
If your opponent offers you an amount that is smaller than the minimum acceptable offer, then you reject the offer and both of you receive nothing.
The minimum acceptable offer shows what distribution of the £100 is acceptable to you. For lower amounts, you prefer both of you to receive nothing rather than having the money distributed as proposed by your opponent.
