{{ extends 'global/Page.html' }} {{ block title }}Welcome to our study on Improvisation!{{ endblock }} {{ block content }}
You are being asked to take part in a research study done at the Humanities and Social Sciences department of California Institute of Technology.

We designed this study to understand how people improvise in various narrative situations.

In this first part of the study we will ask you to create stories on-the-spot for a given prompt. We don't expect people to generate well-thought out stories, but rather we are more interested in how people react spontaneously to a prompt. This takes about 8 minutes. You will have base pay of 1.50$ with a performance bonus of 1$.

Later, we will ask you if you consent to participate in a zoom audio session where you coordinate with another participant to generate stories on-the-spot. This is to see how people improvise in group storytelling.

All zoom calls are anonymized with no video. We will record only audio. You will be asked to change your zoom name to your Prolific ID before joining the call, so you will remain anonymous throughout, without revealing your name.

Once you consent to participate in the zoom session, we will ask your availability in a 'whentomeetup' link. You can indicate your availability in the next few days. We will then send you a zoom link through the prolific messaging system. The call will last about 45 minutes.

Earnings for the zoom call:
