<p>
    In this decision task, you will receive {{ endowment }} as an initial endowment. You will be asked to make a
    decision that may affect your payment.

<h4>Your task</h4>

<ul>
    <li>
        You will decide whether you want to keep all of the {{ endowment }} for yourself, or whether you want to invest
        parts or all of it as a contribution to mitigate climate change.
    </li>
    <li>
        The money that you decide <b>NOT</b> to keep will be used to plant trees and thus, offset carbon dioxide
        (CO<sub>2</sub>).
    </li>
    <li>
        The higher the amount of CO<sub>2</sub> offset, the better for the environment.
    </li>
    <li>
        An international forest restoration organization will plant the trees within {{ session.config.time_to_plant }}.
    </li>
    <li>
        Thus, your decision will have an actual and true consequence for the environment. It is <b>NOT</b> a
        hypothetical decision.
    </li>

<h4>Why plant trees to mitigate climate change?</h4>

<p>
    Climate change will have an increasingly negative impact in the coming years and decades. Carbon dioxide
    (CO<sub>2</sub>) is regarded as a key contributor to climate change, and scientists around the globe agree that
    climate change can be mitigated only if carbon emissions are dramatically reduced and captured. Trees absorb
    CO<sub>2</sub>, making reforestation one of the most effective carbon capture solutions (Intergovernmental Panel on
    Climate Change, 2022). Therefore, planting more trees leads to a greater offset of CO<sub>2</sub> emissions and to
    a greater contribution to mitigating climate change.
