{{ block title }} Instructions for Formal Part {{ endblock }} {{ block content }}

This part compromises two stages: (1) Slider Game; (2) Display Information. The slider game in this part is identical to the previous one you played. You will be randomly paired with another two anonymous participants in one group (Player A, Player B, and Player C).

Step 1. Slider Game: In the slider game, participants will earn payoffs through moving sliders. If you move sliders to the middle place of the bar, the quality of the slider is equal to 1.0 and you will get 1.0 point. If the slider is moved to other places, the quality may be 0.1 or 0.5, which means you will get 0.1 or 0.5 points each slider. The total and potential payoff is equal to the sum of all qualities.

Step 2. Display Information: After each round of moving sliders, each participant can see the result of moving sliders in this round. The information of quantities, average qualities, and profits of all group members is displayed on the personal screen. The profit in this round is as follows:

Profit = Quantity × Average Quality

This part will be repeated for 10 rounds. At the end of the experiment, the computer will randomly select one of rounds as the payoff for this part. If you agree to participate, please click next. On the next page, you will enter the page of real effort task.
