{{ block title }}Part 2: Instructions {{ endblock }} {% block content %} {{ if player.session.config.who == 'dictator' }}

Please read this instruction carefully. You will be tested on these instructions. This part involves 3 different types of participants: participants A, participants B, and participants C. You are randomly selected as a participant A. You will be dealing with a participant B and with a participant C. This part consists of 3 stages:

Stage 1

In the first stage, participants A (you) and participants C will be solving puzzles to earn tokens. Participant B will not participate in this stage. You will be solving puzzles to earn 200 tokens by counting the number of right arrows(→) on the screen. Each correct answer will give you 20 tokens, and you need to collect 200 tokens to proceed to the second stage. This means that after solving 10 puzzles correctly, the program will automatically proceed you to the next stage.

Stage 2

In this stage, participants A (you) are the sole decision-makers. As a participant A you will be allocating the 200 tokens you earned in the first stage between you and participant B. If, for example, you allocate participant B 80 tokens, your income at the end of stage two will be 120 tokens, and participant B's income will be 80 tokens. If you allocate participant B 20 tokens, your income will be 180 tokens, and the income of participant B will be 20 tokens at the end of stage two. If you allocate B 0 tokens, your income at the end of stage one will be 200 tokens while participant B's will be 0 tokens.

Stage 3

In stage three, only the participants C are the sole decision-makers. You will be matched with a participant C who determines how many deduction tokens are transferred to you based on your allocation decision. Each deduction token transferred to you as participant A reduces your income by 3 tokens, and reduces participant C's income by 1 token. Participant C can transfer a number of deduction tokens between 0 and 100.

Suppose participant C transfers 2 deduction tokens: your income will be reduced by 6 tokens while participant C's income will be reduced by 2 tokens. If participant C transfers 40 deduction tokens to you, your income reduces by 120 tokens and participant C's income is reduced by 40 tokens.

Income calculations:

Participant A (You): 200 tokens (your earnings from puzzles)
                                   minus number of tokens allocated to participant B by you
                                   minus 3 times the number of deduction tokens transferred to you by participant C
Participant B: number of tokens you allocated to participant B
Participant C: 100 (participant C's earnings from puzzles)
                        minus number of deduction tokens participant C transfers to you
