Here is an example:

You will first know you are in Round 5 in Experimental Trial 3. Your current earning is 75 points, and the subsidy this round is 5 points. Then, you can choose your reservation wage and sample size. If you choose your reservation wage at 5 and sample size at 2. The job search will cost you 5 points.

Then, you will have two independent simulation draws, and let’s suppose you get two job offers, [0,3], which means that you get one job offer with wage rate at 3 from one draw, and no job offer from the other draw.

Since none of your job offers provides you with higher wage rates greater than or equal to 5, you fail to get job offer in this round. Then, you will know earning from wage offer in this experimental trial, 0 point, and your total earning so far is 75+0+5-5=75.

You need to go the next round in this experimental trial. Similar, you will first know you are in Round 6 in Experimental Trial 3. Your current earning is your total earning in the previous round, 75 points. You will also know your subsidy in this round is 5 points. Then you need to choose your reservation wage and sample size. If you choose your reservation wage at 5 and sample size at 3. The job search will cost you 10 points.

You will have three independent simulation draws, and let’s suppose you get three job offers, [0,3,7], which means you get one job offer with wage rate at 7 from one draw, one job offer with wage rate at 3 from the other draw, and no job offer from another draw.

Since one of your job offers provides you with wage rate at 7, which is greater than your chose minimum wage at 5, you get the job and the Experimental Trial 3 will end.

You will know your earning from wage offer in this experimental trial, 7*15=105 points, and your total earnings so far is 75+105+5-10=175 points, which is also your total earning in Experimental Trial 3.

Likewise, you will get other 5 total earnings in other 5 Experimental Trials. However, you need to have another simulation draw to determine your final earning, which is 1 of 6 total earnings in experimental trials.
