In this experiment, you will participate in 6 trials, each of which has 20 rounds. The first two are baseline trials while the others are treatment trials.
Experiments trial 1 and 2 are the same baseline trials, and experiments trials from 3 to 6 are treatment trials.
At the beginning of each period, you will first know your current round and current earning.
Your current earning will be the combination of you earning and payoffs in previous round.
The payoff of each round is the combination of earning from wage offer in this experimental trial and subsidy and job search costs in this round.
Then, you are asked to choose your preferred reservation wage or the minimum wage you could accept, ranging from 1 to 10.
Once you decide reservation wage, you need to decide sample size of job search with search cost.
If you decide not to have any job search (or your job search sample size equals to 0),
you will go to the next period with adding payoffs.
If you choose to have any job search,
you need to have one draw with containers to determine whether you could get the job offer and the wage offer rate for every job search sample size.
If your sample size equals to n, you will have n draws independently.
If any of the wage offer rate you get is greater than or equal to you reservation wage, you will get the job offer with the wage rate at the point you draw.
If you have multiple drawings that greater than or equal to your reservation wage, the greatest number will be your wage offer
Once you get your wage offer, this experimental trial will end.
Your earning from job search is the wage offer you get multiple the rest of rounds in this trial.
You will know your total earning after finding a job.
Finally, you will have 6 total earnings for 6 trials. You are going to have another draw, and your final payoff would be 1 of these 6 total earnings .
The conversion rate in the experiment is 20:1, meaning that 20 points = 1 dollar.
If you finally get a negative total earning point, you will earn nothing from these experimental trials.
Make decision cautiously and rationally.
