Presidential elections were held this year in Novarvia. The newly elected president won the election on an aggressive anti-corruption message under the slogan “taking back our country”.
The president-elect vowed to end the privileges of the “ruling elite” and place the people at the center of power. The President cites corruption scandals that embroiled top national corporations as proof that the “the mafia in power” would stop at nothing, except if he was elected as president.
The new president promised to “lead by example” reducing his own presidential salary with 90% and instead relying on his private income from his time as a successful entrepreneur before being elected to office.
Moreover, the new president vowed to fire “all corrupt state officials” and replace them with “honest, hard-working people like me and you, committed to the mission of taking back our country”.

Presidential elections were held this year in Novarvia. The newly elected president won the election on a comprehensive anti-corruption agenda focused on structural reforms built around three pillars: transparency, accountability, and inclusion.
To foster transparency, the newly elected president has promised to expose and deter corruption through a digital public transparency program. In it, all public servants are required to declare their personal assets, conflicts of interest, and ties to private and public companies.
As part of the transparency pillar, all public procurement will be digitized and monitored through an online platform. To ensure accountability, the president-elect has vowed that this new digitized information will be made available to a newly created special, independent anti-corruption court that is independent of the powers of the attorney general to hold corrupt actors accountable.
Finally, to ensure inclusion the new president promised to enact an aggressive anti-trust reform that would “dismantle the corrupt and monopolistic control that oligarchs have maintained over the captured revenue streams for decades.”
