{{ extends "global/Page.html" }} {{ block title }} Practice Complete {{ endblock }} {{ block content }}

You have completed the practice period. Of the {{player.practice_num_attempted}} letters you attempted to decode, you accurately decoded {{player.practice_num_decoded}} of them. You will be compensated for this work at the rate of $1.00 for every 25 letters decoded.

Please proceed to your evaluation task. Recall that you will be evaluating the performance of a group of four employees, with whom you will be randomly matched. You will rate their performance {{ if player.condition == 3 or player.condition == 4 }} and allocate to them the group’s discretionary bonus pool{{ endif }}.

As a reminder, the work period that employees complete is 5 minutes in duration and is separated into two parts. In the first part, employees have 3 minutes to complete work that increases their own total output for the period. In the second part of the period, employees make a decision about how to use the 2 minutes that remain. This time can be used, in any proportion they choose, to complete additional work that either:

(1) increases their own total output for the period, or
(2) increases the total output of another employee in their group (of their choosing) for the period.

At the end of the period, all employees learn whether or not another employee spent time working to increase their total output on their behalf, as well as how many work units were completed during this time. However, employees do not learn which member(s) of the group chose to spend time in this manner. Employees are aware that their decisions are anonymous in this way.

Employees also receive feedback that indicates how many work units they accurately completed in the period, as well as what their total output was for the period (which would include any work units completed on their behalf by other employees).

Since they do not receive your evaluation {{ if player.condition == 3 or player.condition == 4 }} and discretionary bonus allocation{{ endif }} until after the study has concluded, employees have already been working on their task so that you do not have to wait for them to finish.
