A mber Herd did not have any visible red marks after an alleged fight with Johnny Depp in 2016, a Los Angeles Police officer has said.

Heard, 35, claimed her then husband had allegedly hit her during a fight on May 21, 2016.

Six days later, she appeared at a Los Angeles courthouse to request a restraining order where she showed a visible mark on her face which she claimed had been caused by Depp, 58 - he has denied hitting her.

During the libel trial in Fairfax County, one of the officers who attended the incident told the jury they could not see any prominent mark on Heard’s face, despite her claim.

Tyler Hadden, one of the officers who attended to the incident at the couple's penthouse apartment on May 21, 2016, said Heard refused to talk to officers and had no signs of an injury, although he acknowledged she'd been crying and was red-faced.

'Just because I see a female with pink cheeks and pink eyes doesn't mean something happened,' he said in a recorded deposition played for jurors.

Depp had reportedly left the penthouse by the time officers arrived, while Heard, nor anyone present, was willing to tell them who her husband was.

Jurors heard similar testimony Tuesday from an officer who accompanied Hadden to the penthouse at the time of the incident.

A third officer, William Gatlin, who made a follow up visit to the penthouse said he could see no injuries but acknowledged that he got no closer than 10 feet to Heard.

The jury saw bodycam video of Gatlin's response, which was less than two minutes. Heard could only be seen at a distance.

Heard's lawyers, in their questions, have suggested that Heard could have covered her injuries with makeup, because at that point she still wanted to protect Depp. They also asked officers why they didn't investigate a potential case of domestic violence more thoroughly.

Depp is suing his ex-wife for $50 million over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed piece in which she described herself as a victim of violent and sexual abuse, while the Aquaman star, is countersuing for $100 million over Depp’s claims that she is lying.

The trial continues.
