Amber Heard has told a court how an alleged night of anger and violence ended with Johnny Depp putting a bottle inside of her, as she took the stand for the second day in the defamation trial with her ex-husband.

Amber Heard broke down in tears and had to pause for breath as she described how Johnny Depp put a bottle 'inside of' her in an alleged evening of rage and violence, where he told her he would 'carve up' her face.

Heard, 36, taking the stand for the second day in the ex-couple's defamation trial, alleged that Depp threw cans of bottles and beers at her at the home he was renting in Australia while filming Pirates of the Carribbean 5 soon after their wedding.

Speaking about the evening through tears, she said: 'I have never been so scared in my life.'

Depp, 58, denies ever sexually or physically assaulting Heard.

Describing the alleged sexual assault to the court, after an evening of Depp allegedly screaming repeatedly that he hated Amber, smashing a phone, and tearing off her nightgown, Heard said her back was on the counter top, and at first thought he was 'punching' her, and felt a pressure on her 'pubic bone'.

'I don't know, I don't remember what I said, I just remember being really still, I didn't want to move.

She went on: 'I remember looking at all of the broken bottles, broken glass. I remember not wanting to move because I didn't know if it was broken, I didn't know if the bottle he had inside of me was broken.

'I didn't feel pain, I didn't feel anything. I looked around, saw so much broken glass, I didn't know if he would know if it was broken or not.

'I just remember thinking please god, please I hope it's not broken.'

Later she told the court: 'Johnny had the bottle inside of me and was shoving it inside of me over and over again.'

Heard said she remembers retching in the bathroom after and took two sleeping pills, and didn't wake up until the next morning.

The pair had argued the day before, during which she says Depp was drinking and taking drugs.

Their argument continued the next day, and Depp became more angry when she grabbed a bottle of alcohol and threw it to the floor, after he had been allegedly taunting her with it, as she tried to grab it.

She claimed he threw a bottle at her but it missed.

'At some point he had a broken bottle up against my face area, he told me he would carve up my face.' She said this was allegedly not the first time he had said this.

Heard said she didn't remember the evening in sequence but rather in 'flashes'.

She described a 'struggle' and being flung 'from the wall to the counter top', and Depp allegedly ripping off her nightgown, leaving her naked.

She went on: 'I am on the counter top, he had me by the neck... he was on top of me. I am looking in his eyes, I don't see him anymore. It wasn't him, it was black. I have never been so scared in my life.'
