Heard's claim is that Depp's attorney, Adam Waldman, defamed her and caused damage to her career by accusing her and several friends of starting an 'abuse hoax'. It was claimed by Depp's attorney in the case, Ben Chew, that Waldman was simply offering an opinion so didn't commit defamation. He also argued that no evidence was available to show Depp knew about Waldman's statements before the counterclaim was filed. Heard claimed Depp performed 'a cavity search' on her while looking for drugs, Morgan Night explained he didn't see Depp shout at his then-partner on the night in question. Night said Depp appeared to be 'cowering' as the actress yelled at him. The trailer park owner told the court: 'He, honestly, throughout the rest of the night became a lot more quiet.'
