In game 1, each of you will be paired with another person in this room. Within a group of two, there will be a role A player and a role B player. The roles are randomly assigned with equal probability.
Both players in the group are endowed with 10 experiment currency units (ECUs). In this one-shot game, the role A player will move first to decide how much of his endowment he would like to send to the role B player. Each ECU sent to role B will be tripled, then the role B player needs to decide how much ECUs to send back to role A and how much ECUs to keep.
Your final payoff depends on your ECUs at hand, with an exchange ratio of 5 ECUs → 1 chocolate. We will randomly select two groups for actual payment.
