In this stage, you will transcribe strings of Greek letters. There will be two types of transcription assignments: easy and hard.
For the easy assignment, the string length will be 6 letters (see figure 1A below).

For the hard assignment, the string length will be 8 letters, with a wider variety of Greek letters to choose from. In addition, the images provided for the hard assignment will be blurrier (see figure 1B below).

As shown in the two figures, for each transcription assignment, you will see at the top of the screen a string of Greek letters.
By clicking on the appropriate letters in the bottom row, you can generate a string that it matches the image. If you believe you have made a mistake, you can correct your answer by clicking on the delete key.
You will be paid 1 ECU (1 ECUs) for each letter you transcribe correctly in the easy (hard) assignment. You will also receive a bonus of 10 ECUs (24 ECUs) for each string in the easy (hard) assignment that is transcribed “fully correctly.” A transcription is “fully correct” if and only if your input perfectly matches the string in the image.
Once you are satisfied that you have transcribed a string correctly, click the "NEXT" button and a new string of letters will appear.
There will be two practice rounds in stage II, one for the easy assignment and one for the hard assignment. You will work on the easy assignment first, then the hard assignment. Each practice round will last for 60 seconds. You may complete as many assignments as you can in the 60 seconds.
In each round, the assignments are randomly generated. Every participant will observe the same assignments in the same order.
