<p style="line-height:1.75">Welcome and thanks for your participation.
    The result of this study will be used for research purposes.
    Please read the following instructions carefully.</p>

<p style="line-height:1.75">Today's study has three parts and will take about 25 minutes to complete.
    You will receive all necessary instructions at the beginning of each part. Throughout the study, we will use Experimental Currency Units (ECUs) to record your earnings.
    At the end of the study, the ECUs will be converted into US Dollars (USD) using the exchange rate: 120 ECUs = 1 USD.</p>

<p style="line-height:1.75">&#x2022 Part I and III are questionnaires. You will receive 540 ECUs (equivalent to $ 4.5) for completing both of them.</p>
<p style="line-height:1.75">&#x2022 In Part II, you will be paired with another participant. One of you (the worker) will undertake some tasks while the other (the manager) will view the worker's performance and provide feedback. Roles are randomly assigned with equal probability and will remain unchanged.
    <u>Your earnings will be the same as the participant you are paired with and will depend on the worker's in performance in Part II.</u></p>
