Welcome to this research study run by a researcher at Stanford University.

There are seven parts to this Experiment, which will take about 90 minutes:

You earn a fixed fee USD5 show-up fee and an additional USD10 for completing the Experiment and the Final Questionnaire. You have the opportunity to earn additional amounts in Tasks 1 to 4 depending on the decisions you and other participants make. The expected average total earnings are between USD25 and USD30.

If we denote by P = earnings in Task 1, Q = earnings in Task 2, X = earnings in Task 3 and Y = earnings in Task 4, then your earnings at the end of the experiment are equal to:

Total Earnings: USD5 + USD10 + P + Q + X + Y

The aim of this Experiment is to study how individuals make decisions in certain contexts.

Please listen to these instructions carefully. At the end of these instructions, you are asked to take a Quiz to ensure that you understand the instructions for Task 2.

Note that the instructions are the same for all the participants in the Experiment.

The Experiment is anonymous, and data stored will be anonymized.
