{{ block title }} Earnings – Flat Tax {{ endblock }} {{ block content }}

For each string you complete during the next 10-minute work shift, you will earn 20 lab dollars before tax. {{taxrate}} percent of this amount will be taxed by the experimenter, so your after-tax earnings will be {{aftertaxstring}} lab dollars for each completed string.

As in the previous work shift, if at any point during the 10-minute work shift you would like to stop working on the task, you may press the Start Break button and use the internet. Any time remaining in your work shift when you press the Start Break button will be added to your next 8-minute break.

In addition, each second remaining in your work shift when you press the Start Break button is worth 1 lab dollar. This amount will not be taxed.

Your earnings for this work shift are calculated as follows:

Number of completed strings × {{aftertaxstring}} + seconds remaining when you press “Start Break” = Your Earnings

To switch from the experiment tab to a standard web browser, press Alt + Tab. To switch back, press Alt + Tab again.

If you have a question at any time, please raise your hand, and an experimenter will assist you.
