    This is an economic decision-making experiment, funded by the University of Birmingham and the Royal Holloway, University of London.
</p>

<p>
    The entire study should take no longer than <b>10 minutes</b>. Please make sure that you have that
    time at your disposal.
</p>

<p>
    The study is designed to understand how people make economic decisions. You must be at least 18 years
    old to participate in this study.
</p>

<p>
    Your responses will be kept anonymous and confidential.
</p>

<p>
    You will be paid a guaranteed &pound;1.00 (around $1.34 USD) for your participation upon completing the study. Depending on your
    decisions in the study, you will also earn an additional bonus amount. You will be given further instructions
    how you can earn extra money.
</p>

<p>
    Note that this study pays in GBP (&pound;) as it is funded by UK universities. If you are based in the US,
    your payment will be sent in GBP to your Prolific balance. When you cash out to PayPal, it will be
    automatically converted to USD ($) based on the current exchange rate. At the moment, &pound;1 is around $1.34 USD.
</p>

<p>
    Your participation is completely voluntary and you can withdraw at any time during the session. However,
    if you withdraw, you will not receive any payments from the study.
</p>
