You will be randomly paired with another participant. This participant will never learn your ID nor will you ever learn their ID. You and this participant take part in the same lottery that is WON with 25% probability. If the lottery is WON, each of you is entitled to a bonus of {{ C.payoffW }}. If the lottery is LOST, each of you is entitled to a bonus of {{ C.payoffL }}.
Both of you observe the outcome of the lottery. We will ask you sequentially to report the outcome.
We will randomly ask one of you to choose whether you want to report first or second.
The participant who reports second observes the first report before making their own report.
If you are inattentive and the timer on a page runs down, your participation in the study ends and we will not be able to pay you. If your partner's timer runs down, you can still receive a bonus. In this case, their report will be created automatically and either be WON or LOST with equal probability.
