This Experiment aimed to investigate the extent to which enforcing synchronous responses increases cooperation. Participants were allocated to either a synchronous contribution group (in which they contributed at the same time) or a free contribution group (in which they contribute whenever they wish). Our key hypothesis is that those in the synchronous contribution group will contribute more than those in the free contribution group.
