On the following pages you will be asked 25 questions, with one question per page.
At the beginning of each question, you will be given {{C.token_i}} tokens. Every 5 tokens equals 1 penny.
In each question, you will see a number of charities. The number of charities varies in some questions, with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 20 charities. You can select only one charity and decide how many tokens to donate. You can choose to donate 0, or any amount up to (and including) {{C.token_i}} tokens.
Your donations will go to your selected charity.
You will keep the rest of the tokens, which will be {{ C.TOKEN }} tokens minus the tokens you have donated.
This means:
In each question, you can always choose "No, I will not donate on this occasion." and move on to the next question. This means that no donation will be made and you will keep all {{ C.TOKEN }} tokens.
On the next question page, you will receive another {{ C.TOKEN }} tokens. You will face a similar question: how many tokens to donate to the listed charities. This process will repeat until you have answered all 25 donation questions. The total amount of tokens you keep will be paid to you, using the conversion rate of 5 tokens per penny, at the end of the experiment.
Every four questions, you will be asked to rate how happy you are with your decisions on a scale of 0 to 7. Here, 0 means extremely unhappy and 7 means extremely happy.
