Instructions

In this part of the experiment, you will be randomly and anonymously paired with one other person. Both you and the other person will have two possible choices. You can choose Left or you can choose Right.

Then both of you will in up in one of four scenarios below:

• If you both choose Left, {% if same_choice_same_payoff %} you will both receive payoffs of {{ll0}}. {% else %} then you will receive a payoff of {{ll0}} and the other person will receive a payoff of {{ll1}}. {% endif %}
• If you both choose Right, {% if same_choice_same_payoff %} you will both receive payoffs of {{rr0}}. {% else %} then you will receive a payoff of {{rr0}} and the other person will receive a payoff of {{rr1}}. {% endif %}
• If you choose Left but the other person chooses Right, then you will receive a payoff of {{lr0}} and the other person will receive a payoff of {{lr1}}.
• If you choose Right but the other person chooses Left, you will receive a payoff of {{rl0}} and the other person will receive a payoff of {{rl1}}.

These payoffs are summarized in the table below. In each cell, the amount to the left is the payoff for you and to the right for the other person.
