    <p>
        Thank you for your participation in this study. The study should last approximately 40 minutes, and you will
        receive payment at the end of the study.
    </p>

    <p>
        At no time during this experimental session will you be deceived by the experimenter. All of the procedures used
        and payoffs made will be exactly as they are described in these instructions.
    </p>

    <p>
        Please remove any distractions that may affect your ability to complete the study. There is no need to
        communicate with other participants during this study, so please refrain from talking or engaging in any other
        forms of communication with the other students in this room. If you have any questions, please raise your hand
        and the experimenter will assist you. Additionally, other students not in this session may be completing the
        study at a later time, so please do not discuss the study with anyone outside of this laboratory session.
    </p>

    <p>
        Before you begin the first task round, you will read a set of instructions that describes the task, complete a
        practice period to familiarize yourself with the task, and learn how your compensation will be determined. You
        will then complete a brief quiz to check your understanding of the instructions. Following completion of all
        rounds of the task, you will complete a brief questionnaire. You will then be provided with a unique
        identification number to claim your compensation.
    </p>

    <p>
        In addition to your show-up fee, you will have the opportunity to earn a bonus by performing a task for multiple
        rounds within a hypothetical business setting. At the end of the study, <b>your performance in one randomly
        selected round will determine your bonus.</b> So, please read all instructions carefully.
    </p>
