<h3>Task 3 — Choose Your Payment Scheme</h3>

<p>
    Task 3 is identical to the previous tasks: 5 minutes of addition problems.
    Before you begin, you must choose how you will be paid <em>if Task 3 is selected for payment</em>.
</p>

<h4>Option A — Piece Rate</h4>
<p>You earn <strong>$0.50 per correct answer</strong>, regardless of others' performance.</p>

<h4>Option B — Tournament</h4>
<p>
    You earn <strong>$2.00 per correct answer</strong> — but only if your Task 3 score is higher
    than the Task 2 scores of the other three participants in your group.
    If you do not have the highest score, you earn <strong>$0</strong>.
    Ties are broken randomly.

<p><em>Note: your Task 3 performance is compared against your groupmates' Task 2 scores, not their Task 3 scores.</em></p>
