PURPOSE: You are being asked to participate in a research study. The purpose of the study is to investigate how people make decisions.
PROCEDURES: If you decide to participate, we will ask you to read the experimental instructions, which describe the decisions you will make. You will interact with other participates and make your decisions by making choices through the computer. The whole experiment will last roughtly 15 minutes. The total number of subjects involved is about 200.
RISKS: There are no risks in this experiment beyond those of everyday life.
BENEFITS: There is no direct benefit to you anticipated from your participation in this study, other than the money you receive.
RIGHT TO REFUSE OR WITHDRAW You may refuse to participate and still receive the care you would receive if you were not in the study. You may change your mind about being in the study and quit after the study has started.
COSTS/PAYMENT: After the end of the experiment, you will receive your payment through venmo within 24 hours. Your payment from the experiment depends on the decisions made by you as well as the other participates who have interacted with you. The minimum payment is $5.
