You are a customer submitting coded sentences to a human codebreaker. Your codebreaker decodes each sentence and sends the result back to you. You earn a bonus based on how many words are decoded correctly.
Sentences are encoded with a substitution cipher — letters are shifted so the sentence is unreadable. Your codebreaker converts it back to plain English. Your codebreaker may occasionally make mistakes.
In this example, the codebreaker decoded 5 of 6 words correctly and made 1 mistake (fdw instead of "cat"). The customer would earn ${{ earnings_per_word }} × 5 = $0.25 for this sentence.
Your 10 sentences are grouped into three complexity tiers based on length. Longer sentences have more decoding steps and offer a higher potential bonus — but take more time to decode. We recommend starting with your longest sentences first.
| Complexity Tier | How Many Sentences | Words per Sentence (= decoding steps) |
Max Bonus per Sentence (if all words correct) |
|---|---|---|---|
| High Complexity | 2 | 16 – 19 words | $0.80 – $0.95 |
| Moderate Complexity | 3 | 9 – 12 words | $0.45 – $0.60 |
| Low Complexity | 5 | 4 – 6 words | $0.20 – $0.30 |
Each word = one decoding step. More words = more steps = higher potential bonus.
After your first sentence result is returned, a green End Session Early button will appear. You may click it at any time to stop the session and lock in your current earnings. There is no penalty for ending early or for submitting fewer sentences.
