This experiment takes about 10 minutes. By completing it, you can earn between £1.5 and £2.6.
You will design a persuasive communication plan that will be presented to other participants also recruited through Prolific. Your final earnings depend on the decisions they make while observing the communication plan you designed.
During the experiment, amounts are shown in tokens instead of pounds. Once you finish the experiment, your tokens will be converted to pounds and paid through Prolific at the following rate: $$ 1\text{ token} = £0.05 $$
After you finsih the experiment, you will receive a completion fee of 30 tokens. This will be in addition to the payment you will receive based on the decisions made by the other participants while viewing your communication plan, which may range from 0 to 22 tokens depending on their decisions.
In the next few pages, we will explain the experiment. Before it begins, you will have up to five attempts to answer a few short comprehension questions. If you answer incorrectly, you will be redirected to Prolific and paid £0.30, with no penalty.
To manage your submission and process payment, we need to collect your Prolific ID.
We will process payment as soon as possible but it may take up to 72 hours
for payment to appear in your Prolific account.
If you have not received payment after 72 hours, please contact us.
