In this session, you will be shown blurry images one at a time.
Here are four sample images and the category for each:

And here are blurry versions of each image:

For each image, you will be asked the probability (from 0% to 100%) that you think it is from one of two categories. For example, here is a blurry image of a cat, and you will be asked the probability you think it is a dog instead of a cat.
|
Overall, you will complete 3 blocks of {{ C.NUM_CLS_ROUNDS }} images. Within each block, the two possible categories will remain fixed. For example, in a block you might be presented with {{ C.NUM_CLS_ROUNDS }} blurry images that are either a cat or a dog.
After completing all 3 blocks of images, you will be asked to complete a very brief survey.
The participation payment is ${{C.PARTICIPATION_FEE}}, which you will get if you finish the experiment.
The possible bonus payment is ${{C.PAYOFF}}. At the end of the session, one of the images will be selected at random to determine your bonus payment. Every question is equally likely to be selected, so it is the best to pay attention to all of them.
The payment rule for the randomly selected image is designed so that you can secure the largest chance of winning the bonus payment by reporting your most-accurate guess. The precise payment rule details are available by request at the end of the experiment.
