Before any of the decision rounds, Participant A will choose a "level of transparency". The level of transparency denotes the probability that Participant A will be informed about the amount sent back by Participant B. There are three levels of transparency for Participant A to choose from: 0%, 10% 50%, and 100%. The level of transparency chosen by Participant A will be conveyed to Participant B before the decision task starts, and it will be applied to every decision round.

If Participant A chooses 0%, they will not find out how much Participant B sent back until the end of all rounds and the study is concluded.

If Participant A chooses 10%, they will find out how much Participant B sent back with a probability of 10%.

If Participant A chooses 50%, they will find out how much Participant B sent back with a probability of 50%, that is, half the time.

If Participant A chooses 100%, they will find out how much Participant B sent back in every round.

At the end of the study, the points will be converted into real money at the rate of 100 points = US$1. You will earn US$1 for completing the experiment. Additionally, one of your decision rounds will be chosen at random, and you will receive a bonus payoff in US$ equal to the amount of points you earned in that round.

Remember that you will be paid for real, so consider your decisions carefully.
