    Thank you for participating in this study.

    This is an experiment about decision making. 
    There are other people from the US participating 
    in this study online. Some of the other online 
    participants are in your team. All participants 
    have been assigned to an anonymized team of 3. 
    No participant knows the identity of their team 
    members, only the research team knows the 
    Prolific IDs of all team members.

<p>
   On the next page, you will go over instructions 
   for the task you have to complete. This will be 
   followed by a practice round, and then the first 
   main round. The first round is related to a 
   second round.

<p>
    In this part of the experiment your task is to 
    count zeros in a series of tables. The figure
shows the work screen you will use later.

<p> 
    Enter the number of zeros into the box on the 
    right side of the screen. After you have entered
     the number, click the Submit-button. You only get one try 
     to enter the correct number - so a new table will be generated 
     as soon as you press submit. If you submitted the first attempt,
     you will see the heading of the table change to "Iteration 2", and so on
     for future attempts. 
     
     Your bonus payment depends on 
      your performance. You will receive £0.10 for every correct grid you 
      answer as a part of the task. You will receive £2.34 irrespective of your performance, 
      as long as you complete the full experiment.

    The earnings of this part of the experiment will be
     paid to you once your submission has been approved.
      You will receive the payment in less than 24 hours.
        If you miscount a table, you do not lose any money.
     Before you begin the main first round, you will go through
     a 4 minute practice round. You can solve as many tables as 
     you wish in 4 minutes. The remaining time is displayed in 
     the upper right hand corner of the screen.

grid. Please be patient while this happens - you can hover the cursor over the Submit button 
so that you can press it as soon as it's available.
