<p>At the end of the experiment, three out of ten rounds will be chosen at random for your payment. You will not know which rounds you’ll get paid for until after the experiment.</p>

<p>The potential earning in each round is decided as follows:</p>
<p style="text-indent: 40px;">1. If no investment is made in the group account, all group members earn <b>$10</b> for the round.</p>
<p style="text-indent: 40px;">2. If one group member invests before the 60 seconds are up, that investor earns a certain amount of money. This amount varies in each round between <b>$9 to $20</b>. We will let you know exactly how much the investor earns before a new round starts.</p>
<p style="text-indent: 40px;">3. If someone else in your group invests, you earn <b>$20</b> for that round.</p>

<p>Therefore, it's usually best to wait for other group members to invest, as the investor never earns more than the non-investors.</p>

<p>However, it's also a good idea to avoid having no one invest in your group, as that will lead to a relatively low earning for everyone in the group.</p>
