<p>    <li> You will complete <strong>two different tasks </strong> with other Prolific participants in the study. Each task consists of <strong>10 rounds</strong>.</li> </p>

<p>  <li> In each round, you will be paired with a different Prolific participant.
      We will refer to this person as your partner, and we will keep both of your identities confidential.
      For anonymity, we will refer to your partner by using nicknames. For instance, if your partner's real name is <strong>"Daniel"</strong>, we will refer to him as <strong>"David"</strong>. </li></p>

<p>  <li> At the end of the experiment, one of the rounds will be randomly selected as the round-that-counts. Any amount you earn in the round-that-counts will be distributed to you as a bonus payment within 2 weeks after completing this study.
      Since any round may count for your bonus payment, <strong> please play each round carefully.</strong> </li> </p>

<p> <li> You will be randomly assigned one of the following two roles for the entire study: </li>
    <ul>
          <li> <strong> Performer </strong> </li>
          <li> <strong> Decider </strong> </li>
    </ul> </p>

<p>    <li> The <strong> Performers </strong> will perform the tasks for the <strong>Deciders</strong>.
        The <strong> Performers </strong> ' performance will affect the payment of <strong> the Deciders </strong>. The <strong> Deciders </strong> will choose how much to pay the <strong>Performers </strong>.</li></p>
