    Instructions - The Additions Task

<center><strong>Remember that for the entire experiment you have been randomly assigned to be the "Decider" </strong>  </center> <br>
    <li> For each round, you will be randomly paired with a <strong>Performer</strong>, who is a fellow Prolific participant. </li> <br>
    <li> The Performer will get to attempt 7 additions in 45 seconds. Each addition consists of three two-digit numbers.</li> <br>
    <li> Below is an example of the addition task:</li>

<li> The number of correct additions your paired Performer performs in a round will directly affect the payment you get from this Task, which we call the <strong>Task payment</strong>. You can either get a <strong>high</strong> Task payment or a <strong>low</strong> Task payment,
    and the probability of you getting a high Task payment depends on your Performer's performance in that round. </li><br>
    <li> Each correct addition by your Performer increases the probability that you get a high Task payment. For example: </li> <br>

    <li> You will learn about your Task payment, and will NOT be informed of how many additions
    your Performer performed correctly in that round. </li> <br>

<li> You will then decide how much to pay your Performer in that round. You will divide a <strong>separate</strong> pot of money (<strong>{{ separate_pot }}</strong>) between your paired Performer and another randomly chosen
             Performer from the study. Any unassigned money will go back to researchers and therefore will
             NOT be kept by you. (Separate pot means independent of your Task payment above) </li> <br>
