In the letter-search task, you will be asked to identify the number of times a given letter appears
in a 10x10 grid of letters. Each incorrect response will hide the grid and stop you from inputting another
response for 5 seconds. Once you have correctly input the number of times that the given letter appears in the grid,
you will be provided with a new grid/letter combination. For each round, you will have 4 minutes to complete as many of these
grids as possible. There are 3 rounds.
You will earn $0.25 for each grid you answer correctly.
One round will be randomly selected for payout on top of your participation fee.
An example grid is provided below. In the example grid, you are asked how many times the letter “O” appears in the 10x10 grid. The correct answer is 7. If you answer “7”, you will be given a new letter and grid. If you put in an answer besides “7,” you will have to wait 5 seconds before answering again. This will continue until you correctly answer “7”, at which point a new letter and grid will be presented to you.
