Recall that because sales demand for Product H was lower than the sales demand for Product L, the firm needed only two Level A workers to produce Product H. Due to a recent increase in sales demand for Product H, the firm needs additional Level A workers to produce Product H.

Based on your superior performance amongst the Level B workers, you have been chosen for promotion to the Level A worker position to help meet the increased demand for Product H.

As a Level A worker, you will perform an advanced math task. You will subtract two-digit numbers from three-digit numbers. For example, 430 - 82 can be solved as 348. You will do the calculations mentally. That is, you will not be allowed to use pens/pencils, paper, calculators, or any other outside tools to solve the problems.

Instead of typing the answer in a provided answer space, you will answer the questions by adjusting a slider along a scrollbar from 0 to 500 to the answer. Therefore, you must first solve a math problem and then adjust the slider to the number position that matches the answer to the corresponding math problem.

You will perform the advanced math task for the remaining six work periods of the study (Period 4 through Period 9). Each work period lasts 3 minutes (180 seconds).

You will earn 12 Lira for each problem you solve correctly in each work period.
