{{ block title }} Background Information {{ endblock }} {{ block content }}

This study consists of 1 placement period and 9 work periods. Each period will last 3 minutes (180 seconds).

In this study, you will assume the role of a worker. Workers perform tasks that generate revenue for a firm, and the firm compensates workers for their output.

There are two levels of workers: Level A and Level B. You and the other workers will be assigned to the Level A and Level B worker positions based on the results from the placement period.

The firm that you work for manufactures and sells two products: Product H and Product L. Product H generates more revenue than Product L.

Level A workers perform a higher-level task to produce Product H. Level B workers perform a lower-level task to produce Product L.

Because the sales demand for Product L is higher than the sales demand for Product H, the firm needs {{ participants }} Level B workers to produce Product L and only 2 Level A workers to produce Product H.
