        You are about to participate in a problem-solving study. <br><br>
        
        Please read the instructions carefully. You will need to understand these instructions to maximize the amount
        of money you make today. <br><br>
        
        During today's session, you will earn income in an experimental currency called <i>Lira</i>.
        At the conclusion of today's study, the <i>Lira</i> you have earned will be converted to US dollars at a rate
        of 30 <i>Lira</i> per $1.00. <strong><u>This means that the more <i>Lira</i> you earn, the greater earnings
        in US dollars you will get.</u></strong><br><br>
        
        In addition, you automatically earn $5.00 for showing up for today's session. <u>Your total earnings
        from this experiment will be paid to you in cash at the end of the session.</u><br><br>
        
        No one will be able to associate your responses in today's study with you personally. Responses will only
        be attributable to your unique participation ID. <br><br>
        
        <strong>You may <u>not</u> use a cell phone, a pen/pencil, paper, or any other outside materials during
        this session.</strong><br><br>
        
        If you have any questions at any time during today's session, please raise your hand. The administrator will 
        answer your question in private. Please do not communicate with anyone other than the administrator.
