Since there are four participants in the second and third row, there will be four pairings. You will never know participant identities or which person in the second is paired with which person in the third row.
You will observe all four pairings between a second-row (Sender) and a third-row (Responder) participant:
You will be told the amount that each Sender has shared with their respective Responder.
Your task is to predict how much each Responder will return (assuming the Sender shared some portion).
One pair will be randomly selected for payment, where your compensation will depend on how accurately you can predict how much the Responder returns:
Participants in the second and third row will be the first participants paid at the end of the session, and the first to leave to further preserve anonymity.
While you read through these instructions, the participants in the third row (Responders) will be completing an effort-based task where they can receive additional compensation.
