In this stage, you will perform the task in each round with the other three members of your group. There are 15 rounds in this stage, and 3 steps in each round.
Step 1: At the beginning of each round, you will have access to a Codebook of Actions and Contexts that is unique to your group and different from the other group’s Codebook. Actions are presented across Rows and Contexts are presented across columns. For each Context, there is one correct Action indicated by a tick (✓). A cross (✕) indicates incorrect Actions for a given Context. Correct choices contribute to your Group Score in this stage.
Click on “View Codebook” button to see the Codebook; it will appear for 3 seconds per click. You are allowed a maximum 5 clicks per round. To enter the next step, please click “Continue” button. Once you click “Continue”, you cannot revisit the codebook. Figure 1 shows an example of a Codebook.
Step 2: In this step, all members of the group will see a Context generated randomly by the computer. Next, you must choose the correct Action for the given Context. Confirm your choice within 10 seconds by pressing the “Confirm” button. You will know the choices of your group members for the round only after all members have made their choices. Figure 2 shows an example of a task.
Step 3: Once you confirm your choice, the computer will show the actions chosen by all the members of your group and indicate whether each action was correct (✓) or incorrect (✕).The computer will report the number of ticks obtained by your group in that round (maximum 4 ticks per round) and the total number of ticks accumulated up to that round (maximum 60 ticks in the entire stage). Figure 3 shows the outcome.
