<p>In today&apos;s study, you will make a few decisions related to the exam in Economics I. Please read the following information about the grading of the exam carefully. In Economics I, we follow the official regulations of the TUM (&ldquo;Allgemeinen Pr&uuml;fungs- und Studienordnung&rdquo;) for the grading of multiple-choice examinations.<br><br><strong>(A) Passing Limit</strong><br><br>Multiple-Choice examinations are passed,</p>
<ol>
    <li>if at least 60 percent of the questions have been answered correctly; or</li>
    <li>if at least 50 percent of all answers are correct and the number of correct answers does not fall below the average examination results achieved by students taking this examination for the first time by more than 22 percent.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>(B) Grades</strong></p>
<p>The grade for multiple-choice examinations shall be:</p>
<ol>
    <li>&quot;very good&quot; if at least 75 percent of the questions beyond the passing limit have been answered correctly.</li>
    <li>&quot;good&quot; if at least 50 percent but less than 75 percent of the questions beyond the passing limit have been answered correctly.</li>
    <li>&quot;satisfactory&quot; if at least 25 percent but less than 50 percent of the questions beyond the passing limit have been answered correctly.</li>
    <li>&quot;sufficient&quot; if less than 25 percent of the questions beyond the passing limit have been answered correctly.</li>

<p>Also, note that universities in Germany apply the following 1.0 to 5.0 grading system to assess their students&rsquo; academic performance.</p>

<p><strong>(C) Publication of Results</strong></p>
<p>It usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks to grade the exam, do the necessary sanity checks, and publish the results in TUM Online. However, this year, thanks to the online format of the examination, we have managed to grade the exam in less than two days. You will receive your grade in TUM Online in approximately <strong>one hour</strong>.</p>
