Overview: We're inviting you to take part in a research study to help us better understand the relationship between personality traits and decision-making patterns in disaster managment scenarios. First, you will fill out a demographics and personality trait survey. Then, you will play a brief online game with other participants where you decide how many resources you will donate to the community. In total, we expect this study to take approximately 25 minutes to complete. You can stop participating at any time but will not recieve monetary compesnation if you do not complete the study (details below).
Confidentiality: This study has been approved by IRB XXXXXXXX. We ae using Amazon MTurk to collect your data. Amazon could link your worker ID (and associated personal information) with your survey responses, so make sure you have read Amazon’s MTurk participant and privacy agreements to understand how they may use or disclose your personal information. For our purposes, we do not have access to any of your personal information nor are collecting data outside the responses you provide during the experiment. Via MTurk's options, we are limiting the experiment to one play through for each IP address, to minimize the risk of duplicate participants.
Compensation: You will be awarded $XX for completing the study. Upon completion of the study, you will be presented with a completion code to enter into MTurk to retrieve your compensation. Should you drop out of the study, you will NOT recieve monetary compensation.
